Ali Zafar performed before an estimated 45,000 fans in Mississauga, setting a new attendance record at Celebration Square.
The free outdoor concert marked the final show of his “Roshni Tour 2026” across North America and attracted a large South Asian diaspora audience.
Organisers said the crowd included families and fans from across Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, with many spilling into surrounding streets due to the large turnout.
Zafar opened the performance with “Rangeen” and performed some of his biggest hits, including “Channo”, “Masti” and “Chal Dil Mere”, along with several Bollywood favourites.
A highlight of the night came during “Jhoom”, when fans lit up the venue with phone flashlights, creating a large wave of lights across the square.
During the concert, Zafar stepped off stage to interact with fans and spoke about unity, identity and respect among communities.
The event ended on a high note as organisers confirmed it was the largest crowd ever recorded at the venue.
