Iran’s Supreme Leader said the “Zionist regime has few days left,” as missile exchanges and air raids intensified.
Iran fired multiple missile barrages toward northern Israel, triggering sirens across central and southern cities. Israeli air defence systems intercepted several incoming missiles, with explosions reported in different areas.
Israel responded with airstrikes on western and central Iran, with reported explosions in Tehran, Isfahan and Tabriz. Iranian officials said military sites were targeted.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it launched retaliatory strikes, including attacks on Haifa, and accused Israel of escalating the conflict with “dangerous” actions.
An Israeli strike also hit a petrochemical facility in Mahshahr, Iran, causing partial damage but no reported casualties.
Iranian officials blamed the United States for the escalation, saying Washington was indirectly responsible and warning that diplomacy was being undermined.
Yemen’s Houthi group announced a “total ban” on Israeli maritime traffic in the Red Sea and said it had carried out missile attacks against Israel.
Israel confirmed new missile launches from Iran and Yemen, briefly shutting its airspace as air defence systems went on alert.
The Israeli military said it struck Iranian air defence systems and military infrastructure using coordinated air operations.
Iran reported drone interceptions in Tehran and temporary flight suspensions at Shiraz airport due to security concerns.
The European Union called for immediate de-escalation, warning the region does not need further escalation and urging a return to negotiations.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to hold a Security Cabinet meeting as tensions continue.
The situation remains highly volatile, with ongoing exchanges of fire and widening regional involvement.
