Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reiterated his call for a “system reset”, saying the public should have a say in any decision to create new administrative units in the country.
Speaking about his earlier remarks regarding a possible “system collapse”, Naqvi clarified that his comments were not directed at any particular political party.
The interior minister said discussions on administrative reforms should focus on improving governance and addressing structural challenges rather than serving partisan interests.
He also stressed that any proposal concerning the creation of new administrative units should be considered through a process that reflects the will of the people.
Naqvi’s latest comments come amid an ongoing debate over administrative restructuring and calls for changes to the country’s existing provincial and governance framework.
