Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani is set to visit Tehran as Doha seeks to revive diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran.

The visit is expected to focus on Qatar’s mediation role, freedom of navigation and the conditions needed to reduce tensions across the region.

Qatar has previously played a key role in facilitating communication between Washington and Tehran, particularly during periods of heightened confrontation.

The talks come as regional tensions remain high, with diplomatic efforts focused on preventing further escalation and reopening channels for negotiations.
