Security forces thwart attack on checkposts in South Waziristan’s Azam Warsak area, says military’s media wing.

Pakistan’s security forces killed 10 India-backed terrorists during intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.
According to the military’s media wing, the militants attempted to attack security checkposts in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan, but the assault was successfully repulsed by troops deployed in the region.
ISPR said security forces responded swiftly to the attempted infiltration and engaged the attackers in a fierce exchange of fire, resulting in the deaths of all 10 terrorists.
The military added that weapons, ammunition and other equipment were recovered from the militants, and clearance operations were continuing to ensure that no remaining terrorists were present in the area.
Pakistan has repeatedly accused hostile intelligence agencies of supporting militant groups involved in attacks inside the country, while security forces have intensified operations against terrorist networks operating in the tribal districts and other parts of KP.
