Taylor Swift has reached another major career milestone, with Forbes estimating her net worth at $2 billion, making her the richest female musician in the world.
The achievement was highlighted in Forbes’ Iconoclast 50 list, which recognises influential figures from business, entertainment, technology and philanthropy.
Swift’s fortune has grown rapidly thanks to her record-breaking Eras Tour, hit albums and successful effort to regain control of her music catalogue.
The Eras Tour became the highest-grossing concert tour in history, generating an estimated $2.2 billion in revenue and setting a new benchmark for live entertainment.
A key driver of her wealth has been the release of her “Taylor’s Version” albums. By re-recording her early work, Swift gained ownership of more of her music and increased the royalties flowing directly to her.
Forbes described the project as one of the most influential business decisions by a modern recording artist, helping reshape industry conversations about artist ownership.
Recent releases, including The Tortured Poets Department, have further boosted her earnings through strong sales, streaming numbers and merchandise demand.
The report also said Swift reportedly spent around $360 million to buy back her original master recordings, ending a years-long ownership dispute.
While Swift is now the richest female musician, Forbes estimates that Jay-Z remains the wealthiest living musician overall, with a net worth of about $2.8 billion.
Swift is also preparing to release the song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Toy Story 5 and will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
