In a statement, the military’s media wing said the Army Rocket Force Command carried out the training fire to enhance operational efficiency and validate the technical parameters of various sub-systems designed to improve accuracy and survivability.
It added that the weapon system, equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigational aids, is capable of engaging long-range targets with high precision.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the services chiefs commended the successful training fire and appreciated the technical expertise and dedication of those involved in the development and execution of the system.
The test comes nearly two weeks after the Army Rocket Force Command conducted a successful training launch of the Fatah-II missile system.
Earlier, the Pakistan Navy also carried out a successful live firing of the Taimoor air-launched cruise missile, validating its capability to engage maritime threats at extended ranges.
