Brazil are anxiously awaiting the results of fresh medical tests on Neymar after the forward missed training and visited a clinic to assess an injury to his right calf.
The 34-year-old, playing in his fourth World Cup, has been sidelined since suffering the injury last month, raising concerns over his availability for the tournament.
Brazilian football authorities have yet to release details of the test results, fuelling uncertainty over when Neymar could return to action.
Local reports suggest the medical team is prioritising a full recovery, with hopes of having the forward fit for the knockout stages.
The concern comes after Brazil were held to a 1-1 draw by Morocco in their opening match, increasing the importance of Neymar’s potential return.
Away from football, Neymar and partner Bruna Biancardi announced they are expecting their third daughter.
