Eighteen injured, homes damaged as authorities warn of flash floods, urban flooding and landslides across Pakistan through July 24.

At least 12 people died and 18 were injured in rain-related incidents across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the past 48 hours, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). Heavy rains and flash floods also damaged 18 houses, with three completely destroyed.
The affected districts include Peshawar, Nowshera, Khyber, Mardan, Buner, Bajaur, Chitral, Lower Dir, Hazara Division, Kurram and North Waziristan. District administrations have been instructed to provide immediate relief to affected families.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a nationwide alert for July 21–24, warning of flash floods, urban flooding, landslides and rising river levels. Provincial and district authorities have been directed to stay on high alert and deploy emergency teams.
The NDMA warned that rivers, mountain streams and hill torrents in Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and northeastern Balochistan could experience dangerous flooding. Urban flooding is also expected in several low-lying cities, including Rawalpindi and Lahore.
A separate landslide alert has been issued for Chitral and multiple mountainous areas of Gilgit-Baltistan. Authorities have advised people to avoid unnecessary travel and follow official safety instructions until weather conditions improve.
