A group of Pakistani sailors held hostage by Somali pirates has appeared in a new video appeal seeking urgent help.
In the footage, a second officer said the captives are facing worsening conditions, including hunger and illness.
The hostages urged the Pakistani government to intervene and press the vessel’s owners to begin negotiations for their release.
The crew members were reportedly taken during a piracy incident off the Horn of Africa.
Authorities have not yet issued a detailed update on ongoing rescue or negotiation efforts.
Maritime security officials say such cases remain complex, often involving prolonged talks with armed groups.
The families of the sailors have also appealed for swift action to ensure their safe return.
