The government has allocated Rs500 billion for the health sector in the new budget.
Out of this, Rs76.3 billion has been set aside for development projects aimed at upgrading hospitals and expanding healthcare services.
The remaining funds will be used for non-development expenses, including ongoing healthcare operations and staffing.
Officials said the allocation will support improvements in medical infrastructure across the country.
Key focus areas include hospital upgrades, better emergency services, and expanded access to healthcare facilities.
The budget reflects continued emphasis on strengthening the public health system.
