Indian actor Shahid Kapoor says he deals with rumours and public opinion by maintaining a healthy sense of skepticism.Speaking in a recent interview, Kapoor reflected on his 23-year career in the film industry. He discussed online trolling, negative publicity and the challenges that come with fame.
The actor said he rarely believes claims unless he witnesses events himself. He added that this approach has helped him navigate the entertainment industry.“I take everything with a pinch of salt,” Kapoor said. He explained that blindly accepting what others say can make people vulnerable to manipulation.
Kapoor noted that he applies the same standard to everyone in his life. He said he approaches comments from friends and even family members with similar caution.Addressing online criticism directed at fellow actor Alia Bhatt, Kapoor said public scrutiny can be difficult to handle. He acknowledged that constant attention often brings emotional pressure.
However, he added that criticism is part of life in the public eye. Kapoor said fame, success and admiration often come with an equal amount of negativity.Reflecting on his own career, Kapoor admitted that his last two films did not perform as expected. Despite setbacks, he said he has never allowed insecurity to guide his decisions.
