Pakistan carried out precision strikes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, killing 26 militants linked to recent terrorist attacks, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Wednesday.

According to Tarar, the operation targeted militant hideouts, training facilities and ammunition depots based on credible intelligence. Four key sites were destroyed during the strikes.

The operation comes after a series of attacks on security forces in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, including incidents in Peshawar, North Waziristan and Bannu.

Tarar said Pakistan remains committed to regional peace but will continue taking decisive action against terrorism under its ongoing counterterrorism campaign.
