Gold and silver prices decline further as global bullion market weakens

KARACHI: Gold prices continued to decline in local and international markets on Monday amid a drop in global bullion rates.
In the international market, gold fell by $30.94 per ounce to $4,297.
Following the global trend, the price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan dropped by Rs3,094 per tola to Rs452,233.
The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs2,785, settling at Rs386,987.
Silver prices moved lower as well. The price of silver per tola fell by Rs94 to Rs7,173.
Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of silver declined by Rs86 to Rs6,116.
The latest drop follows sharp losses recorded in the previous trading session, when gold and silver prices also fell significantly in both local and international markets.
