Maja Chwalinska delivered another major upset at the French Open, defeating Anna Kalinskaya in straight sets to book a place in the semifinals.

The world No. 114 overcame the 22nd seed with a composed performance, extending her remarkable run at Roland Garros despite limited success on clay courts before the tournament.

“I honestly don’t know what’s going on,” Chwalinska said after the match. “Every single match here feels crazy for me, and I’m very grateful.”

The Polish star admitted she felt nervous throughout the contest but remained focused on competing against some of the world’s best players. Her unexpected breakthrough has made her one of the tournament’s biggest stories.

Chwalinska will now face either top seed Aryna Sabalenka or Diana Shnaider in the semifinals as she continues her pursuit of a historic Grand Slam final berth.
