Fahad Mustafa has urged the Punjab government to reconsider current cinema and mall closing timings, saying austerity measures are impacting the local film industry.
In a letter shared on Instagram and addressed to Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, he requested an extension in cinema operating hours.
He said most cinemas are located inside malls, and early closures are reducing audience turnout for newly released films.
Mustafa added that extended timings could help boost ticket sales and support cinemas, distributors, and related jobs.
He also noted that longer evening hours would improve convenience for moviegoers attending late screenings.
The actor said his recent film Zombeid is currently screening in cinemas across the country following its Eid release.
