Actor Fahad Mustafa says social media has changed how celebrities connect with audiences, breaking down traditional barriers between stars and the public.
In an interview with BBC Urdu, Mustafa reflected on his career, saying he always hoped to be recognised as a film star despite his success on television.
He credited his popularity to the positive image he has built over the years and said audiences connect with authenticity rather than carefully crafted personas.
Discussing the entertainment industry, Mustafa said social media has created a shared culture where people from all backgrounds follow the same trends, making it easier for celebrities to engage directly with fans.
The actor also dismissed claims of industry lobbying, saying talent and hard work remain the key factors behind success.
Speaking about his latest film, Zombeid, Mustafa admitted he was initially unsure about the zombie-apocalypse genre but became excited as the project developed. He described filmmaking as demanding yet rewarding, with long shooting hours often required to bring ambitious stories to life.
