King Charles has written a heartfelt message about Balmoral Castle, reflecting on its deep personal and historical significance for the Royal Family.

In a foreword to a new guidebook, the monarch described the Scottish estate as a “cherished home” filled with “timeless” beauty and emotional value for generations of royals.

Charles III said Balmoral has been part of the family since it was purchased in 1852 and called it a place where “everything remains unaltered” despite constant change.

He also recalled the estate’s importance to the late Queen Elizabeth II, noting that she spent her final days there in 2022.

Charles wrote that the surrounding landscape has long been a source of inspiration and peace for his family, describing it as “wild and majestic.”

The message comes as royal residences face scrutiny following reports of misconduct investigations involving security staff at several palaces, including Windsor Castle and Kensington Palace.

Despite the ongoing inquiries, the King’s tribute focused on preserving Balmoral’s legacy as a place of continuity, reflection, and family memory.
