Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) successfully concluded its pre-Hajj operation for 2026, achieving a 97 per cent on-time departure rate. The national carrier transported more than 53,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia through 210 special flights.
PIA exceeded its operational target by seven per cent, with flights departing on schedule from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Quetta. The service provided direct travel facilities to pilgrims heading to the holy cities.
PIA spokesperson Zafar Hashmi confirmed that all arrangements for the post-Hajj operation have been finalised. The return flights are scheduled from May 30 to June 30, bringing pilgrims back to Pakistan after completing their rituals.
