According to officials, the FIA Director General has instructed all zonal officers to immediately coordinate with NADRA authorities to identify and investigate cases involving fraudulent identity documentation.
The agency has also reopened several previously dormant or slow-moving corruption inquiries related to NADRA offices.
Authorities have been granted expanded authority to take action against corrupt officials, facilitators, and agents involved in such activities.
It has been decided that NADRA records, applications, and suspect documentation will be thoroughly re-examined, while pending corruption cases will be expedited for completion and legal action.
Officials said those found involved would face both departmental disciplinary proceedings and criminal charges.
The government reiterated a policy of “zero tolerance” against individuals undermining national security or damaging the country’s institutional credibility.
