President Asif Ali Zardari conferred military awards on officers and personnel of Pakistan’s armed forces during an investiture ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The awards were presented in recognition of acts of bravery, distinguished service, and professional excellence demonstrated by members of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
According to official sources, several officers and soldiers received gallantry awards for their contributions during security operations and national defence duties, while others were honoured for meritorious services.
Family members of martyred personnel also attended the ceremony and received awards on behalf of their loved ones.
Senior civil and military officials participated in the event, which forms part of the state’s recognition of sacrifices and services rendered by armed forces personnel.
