(Web Desk) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar met with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott on Wednesday to discuss the rapidly changing regional landscape. During the meeting, High Commissioner Marriott expressed the United Kingdom’s appreciation and support for Pakistan’s strategic role in facilitating negotiations between the United States and Iran. Senator Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue and diplomacy, stressing that engagement is the only viable path toward a peaceful resolution of international disputes.
This diplomatic meeting follows a significant phone conversation a day earlier between Senator Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The two leaders reviewed the latest developments in the region and reached a consensus on the vital importance of continued engagement to achieve lasting stability. The Saudi Foreign Minister reiterated the Kingdom’s full support for Pakistan’s ongoing facilitative efforts. Both leaders agreed to maintain close contact as the second round of peace talks approaches in Islamabad, highlighting a unified regional push for a diplomatic breakthrough.
