Aryna Sabalenka briefly interrupted her US Open match against Uzbekistan’s Kamilla Rakhimova after noticing what she believed was the smell of cannabis coming from the stands.

The Belarusian raised the issue during her second service game, drawing attention to the unusual courtside distraction before play resumed.

Despite the interruption, Sabalenka remained focused and went on to defeat Rakhimova in straight sets, advancing to the next round of the tournament.
