Iran has urged the United States to comply with an interim agreement after President Donald Trump threatened further military strikes, raising fears of another escalation between the two countries.

An Iranian source said Tehran would deliver a harsh response if Washington launches another attack, signalling that Iran remains prepared to retaliate against any fresh military action.

The warning comes amid heightened tensions following recent exchanges between US and Iranian forces. Tehran has called on Washington to respect the interim deal and avoid steps that could undermine efforts to ease the confrontation.

Trump’s latest threats have added uncertainty to the fragile arrangement, with both sides facing pressure to prevent the conflict from escalating further.

Regional officials and international observers are closely watching the situation as renewed hostilities could threaten wider stability and disrupt key trade and energy routes.
