England strengthened their position in the second Test against Pakistan at Lord’s after bowling the visitors out for just 110 and extending their overall lead to 261 runs.
England had earlier posted 290 in their first innings, recovering from 120 for five through a valuable late partnership between Gus Atkinson and Josh Tongue.
Pakistan’s batting then collapsed under pressure from England’s pace attack. Ollie Robinson claimed four wickets for 11 runs, while Jofra Archer took three for 26 as the visitors struggled to build partnerships. Azan Awais provided Pakistan’s main resistance with 46.
Pakistan’s 110 left England with a first-innings advantage of 180 runs. The hosts then reached 81 for three in their second innings by stumps, with Emilio Gay unbeaten on 30 and Harry Brook on seven.
England now lead by 261 runs with seven wickets remaining in their second innings, putting them in a commanding position to win the Test and strengthen their grip on the three-match series.
