Health Minister Kamal has offered himself for accountability following the deaths of 14 newborns in a fire at a PIMS nursery.
Speaking about the tragedy, the minister said around 450 people were safely evacuated from the facility as emergency teams responded to the blaze.
Kamal said authorities were examining the circumstances surrounding the fire and promised that those found responsible would be held accountable.
The minister also rejected concerns over a closed gate at the facility, saying it caused “no problems” during the evacuation and rescue operation.
