Pakistan’s first lunar rover has officially been named ‘Jinnah-1’, marking a major milestone in the country’s growing space programme.
The rover is set to carry out scientific research on the Moon’s south pole, an area of major interest because of its challenging terrain and the possibility of water ice.
During its operation, Jinnah-1 will collect scientific data and study the lunar environment, contributing to Pakistan’s efforts to expand its capabilities in space science and exploration.
The mission is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s role in international lunar exploration while creating new opportunities for research, technology development and scientific collaboration.
