Pakistan has once again highlighted its claim of downing Indian aircraft during last year’s military confrontation, referring to the episode with the slogan “8-0” during remarks marking the anniversary of the May clash.
Officials said the armed forces responded effectively to what they described as Indian aggression, asserting that Pakistan successfully neutralised multiple aerial threats during the conflict.
The comments were made during events commemorating “Marka-e-Haq,” where military and government representatives praised the preparedness and operational capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces.
India has previously disputed several of Pakistan’s claims regarding losses and battlefield outcomes during the confrontation.
The conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbours ended after a ceasefire agreement brokered through international diplomatic efforts.
