US President Donald Trump on Sunday issued a fresh warning to Iran, urging it to move quickly towards a peace agreement and saying that failure to do so could lead to severe consequences.

Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump said Iran needed to act “fast” on negotiations, warning that time was running out as efforts to break the diplomatic deadlock remained stalled.
“For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them,” he wrote.
The remarks came amid ongoing conflict between Washington, Tehran, and their allies, which has contributed to heightened instability across the Middle East, disrupted energy markets, and raised global oil prices.
The war has also affected key shipping routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant share of global oil exports passes.
Iranian and regional media reports indicated that US-Iran negotiations remain stalled, with Tehran claiming Washington has not made meaningful concessions in its latest proposals.
According to Iranian reports, US proposals include limits on Iran’s nuclear facilities and demands regarding enriched uranium stockpiles, while Tehran has rejected terms it considers one-sided.
Meanwhile, regional tensions continue to escalate, with reports of drone attacks and renewed cross-border strikes involving Iran-aligned groups and Israeli forces, despite ongoing ceasefire arrangements in parts of the region.

Pakistan has also been engaged in diplomatic efforts, with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi meeting Iranian officials in Tehran as part of ongoing mediation attempts aimed at de-escalation.
Separately, discussions between US President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping also touched on the Iran situation, although no significant diplomatic breakthrough was reported.
