Speaking after the talks, Trump described the negotiations as productive and said both sides had reached important understandings on trade and economic cooperation.
The discussions reportedly focused on tariffs, market access, supply chains, and broader economic relations between Washington and Beijing amid ongoing global trade tensions.
Chinese officials also acknowledged progress in dialogue, though detailed terms of any agreements were not immediately made public.
The meeting comes at a time when the world’s two largest economies are seeking to stabilize relations amid geopolitical rivalry and concerns over global economic uncertainty.
