Raid in Rajana leads to gunfight; two suspects arrested during operation.

LAHORE: Three suspects linked to the attack on former provincial minister and PML-N MPA Ayub Gadhi were killed during a CCD operation in Rajana on Monday.
According to a spokesperson for the Crime Control Department, a team conducted a raid to arrest the suspects. As officers approached, the suspects allegedly opened fire on the personnel.
CCD officials returned fire, resulting in the deaths of three suspects. Two other suspects were arrested during the operation.
The spokesperson said the deceased suspects were involved in last month’s attack on Gadhi’s residence. The incident left Gadhi injured and claimed the lives of four of his associates.
Following the attack, Gadhi was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment, according to local police officials.
After the shooting, Shehbaz Sharif ordered an inquiry and directed authorities to bring those responsible to justice.
Maryam Nawaz also ordered an investigation, expressed condolences to the victims’ families, and directed officials to provide the best medical care to the injured.
The CCD said investigations into the case are continuing.
