Pakistani mixed martial artist Shahzaib Khan has qualified for the final of the Asian MMA Championship being held in Tashkent.
He earned his place in the final after defeating strong opponents from the Philippines, China, and Kazakhstan during the tournament.
The championship also serves as a qualifying event for the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games 2026, which will take place in Saudi Arabia.
Shahzaib Khan is already a former bronze medallist at both the Asian Championship and the MMA World Championship.
Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation President Zulfiqar Ali praised the fighter’s performance and expressed confidence that Shahzaib can continue his winning run and win the gold medal for Pakistan.
His progress in the tournament is being seen as another positive sign for the growth of mixed martial arts in Pakistan.
