Addressing journalists after the meeting, Barrister Gohar said the opposition leader was briefed in detail on legal proceedings, prison-related matters, and the reported medical condition of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi.
He claimed that Imran Khan had been taken to hospital four times and Bushra Bibi twice, alleging that information regarding their health was not being made public.
Gohar termed the situation unacceptable and demanded that party representatives be allowed to meet the PTI founder, stating that the party was seeking its constitutional and legal rights.
He announced that an opposition summit meeting had been convened and said the matter would also be raised in parliament and other relevant forums.
Referring to ongoing legal proceedings, the PTI chairman noted that the Islamabad High Court had scheduled final arguments in the £190 million case for the 20th and called for due legal process to be followed.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahmood Khan Achakzai said the meeting reviewed the legal cases and health-related concerns surrounding Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, while legal experts were consulted on possible future steps.
Achakzai alleged that access to the PTI founder had effectively been restricted and said even family members and party leaders were unable to meet the former prime minister.
He further claimed that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were being taken to hospitals late at night and said the family had requested their transfer to Al-Shifa International Hospital for medical treatment.
The opposition leader said the matter would be raised in the National Assembly and warned that the opposition could protest inside parliament over the issue.
