Shaheen Afridi to captain as three players make ODI debuts against Australia

Pakistan announced a 16-member squad for the three-match ODI series against Australia from 30 May to 4 June in Rawalpindi and Lahore. Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue as captain, with Salman Ali Agha named vice-captain.
Ahmed Daniyal, Arafat Minhas, and Rohail Nazir will make their ODI debuts. Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, and Sufyan Moqim return after missing the Bangladesh series in March.
Wicketkeeper-batters Muhammad Ghazi Ghori and Rohail Nazir were included after Usman Khan was sidelined due to illness. Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub remain under rehabilitation for prior injuries.
The squad will assemble in Islamabad tonight and begin training under the coaching staff from 23 May. Australia’s team will also arrive on 23 May and train at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
