Ishaq Dar reiterates commitment to stronger Pakistan-Iran cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation with Iran across multiple sectors, including trade, connectivity, regional coordination, and people-to-people exchanges.

Dar expressed these views during a meeting in Islamabad with Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Iran, Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, who called on him ahead of his departure for Tehran.

According to official sources, the deputy prime minister stressed the importance of maintaining positive momentum in Pakistan-Iran relations through close coordination, regular engagement, and mutual understanding.

He also underscored Pakistan’s commitment to promoting regional peace, dialogue, and stability through constructive and responsible diplomacy.

The meeting comes amid ongoing regional developments and continued diplomatic engagement between the two neighbouring countries.
