Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar remarked that lawyers representing the appellants should begin arguments at the next hearing, warning that if proceedings do not move forward, the law will take its course.

During the hearing, Advocate Salman Akram Raja informed the court that jail authorities were not cooperating in securing the signatures. The court observed that if legal counsel is unavailable, alternative representation should be arranged without delay.

The bench also noted that if jail officials were not facilitating the process, the matter could be taken to the Federal Constitutional Court.

Separately, Salman Akram Raja told reporters outside the court that he had requested the Chief Justice to fix early dates for the PTI founder’s cases, adding that he had been assured of scheduling after Eid.

Meanwhile, PTI lawyers staged a protest within the court premises, raising slogans and briefly sitting on the ground, which caused tension in the courtroom environment for some time.
