Erin Holland announces pregnancy, revealing “there’s a baby on the way.”

Model and TV presenter Erin Holland has announced she is expecting her first child, sharing the news on this week’s episode of the Stellar podcast.

A familiar face to cricket fans through her role as a presenter on the Pakistan Super League (PSL) broadcast, the 37-year-old opened up about a long and emotionally and financially draining five-year fertility journey during her conversation on Something To Talk About with host Sarrah Le Marquand.

“I added it up, and it’s horrible. It’s a house deposit,” Holland said. “We’ve spent $150,000, which is worth every penny if it works out, but so often it doesn’t.”

The former Miss World Australia revealed the extent of her treatment journey, including 20 rounds of IVF, five egg collections, seven embryo transfers, four miscarriages, one ectopic pregnancy, and thousands of injections.

Holland said she conceived not long after speaking publicly about her struggles earlier this year. “You asked me last time how long I could keep doing this, and I said ‘how long is a piece of string?’ I didn’t actually know how close that piece of string was to the end,” she said.

While overjoyed by the pregnancy, she admitted the experience has made it difficult to feel fully at ease. “To be honest, it still kind of feels like I haven’t gotten into the club yet,” she said. “I’m at the front of the line, but I haven’t actually entered through yet.”

Reflecting on infertility and loss, Holland said the experience changed how she viewed pregnancy tests. “That beautiful naivety of just seeing a double line is robbed from you,” she said. “The first time it’s elation… by the third and fourth time, you think it’s catfishing you.”

She added that the pregnancy only began to feel real after key scans, particularly the 14-week mark. “We had the 20-week scan recently, and I’m starting to feel movement, and it’s an absolute bloody miracle,” she said.
