Chloe Madeley has seemingly responded to comments made by her ex-husband James Haskell’s mother, Susie Haskell, with a pointed message shared on Instagram.
The 38-year-old influencer, who separated from the former rugby player in 2023 after five years of marriage, posted a cryptic note on her Instagram Stories just hours after Susie’s remarks aired on Celebs Go Dating.
“Does anyone else feel like there are just some people in life who you have to follow around with a dustpan and brush so you can sweep up all the mess they keep dropping?” the post read, prompting speculation it was directed at recent comments about her relationship.
Susie Haskell, appearing on the E4 show, shared her views on the couple’s split and reflected on her son’s past relationships, suggesting that having “two stars” in a relationship can lead to conflict.
“I do have quite a strong opinion on why I think it went wrong. You can’t have two stars because you have them competing for the floor space the whole time,” she said.
James Haskell, 41, acknowledged his mother’s outspoken nature during the show, joking that he hoped she wouldn’t upset his ex. He also described Chloe as a “good friend” and co-parent, adding that she encouraged him to join the dating series.
The former couple married in 2018 and welcomed their daughter in 2022 before announcing their separation the following year.
