Anne Hathaway has once again expressed her admiration for Taylor Swift, revealing the moment she truly became deeply hooked on the singer’s music.
The 43-year-old actress, who has attended Swift’s Eras Tour concerts, said she had always been a fan, but one song in particular changed her perspective completely.
“I always really, really liked Taylor, but that was the song where I was like, oh no, wait, she’s taking hold of my brain. And then I got much deeper into her music. And then once you see it, you can’t unsee it. You’re just like, Oh, she’s a genius,” she said, referring to Anti-Hero.
Hathaway also praised Swift’s artistry and how her musical “eras” connect across her career.
“All of her eras speak to each other. To have a retrospective like that at the age that she is, and to realize that she had a vision that didn’t exist in the world, and she literally made the space that she wanted for herself,” she added.
Her remarks quickly circulated on social media, where Swift fans responded with enthusiasm and surprise.
One user wrote, “Well yes Anne!!!! I knew you would understand,” while another said, “It takes time to understand that Taylor is a genius. And once you figure that out, there is no going back.”
Others echoed similar sentiments, with fans agreeing that Hathaway’s comments reflected what many “Swifties” experience when diving deeper into Swift’s catalog.
