Alibaba Group has presented artificial intelligence-based solutions to support small and medium enterprises in Pakistan and help them enter global markets.
The discussion took place in Islamabad between Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan and a delegation from Alibaba.com.
The talks focused on the “DigiSME Pakistan” initiative and cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority to improve digital trade and industrial growth.
Alibaba’s AI-driven tools are expected to help SMEs improve operations, reach international customers, and increase export opportunities.
Officials said recent agreements with Alibaba mark an important step toward strengthening Pakistan’s digital economy and supporting small business growth.
The government has instructed SMEDA to work closely with Alibaba to ensure wider access to global e-commerce platforms for local enterprises.
