Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said the prime minister will decide on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) demand linking financial matters to a meeting with jailed party leader Imran Khan.

He did not confirm any immediate agreement on the condition, saying the matter rests with the prime minister’s office.

Aurangzeb also praised all provinces, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for supporting the federal government’s IMF programme commitments.

He said provincial cooperation had helped Pakistan meet key fiscal targets under the international lending arrangement.

The statement comes amid ongoing political negotiations between the government and PTI over access and broader governance issues.

Officials said discussions remain ongoing, with no final decision announced yet.
