Sindh Police has launched a major modernisation initiative aimed at strengthening its technological and operational capabilities.
Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho has formed a high-level committee to align the force with modern policing requirements.
The committee will assess the need for artificial intelligence systems, cybercrime units and drone operations for aerial surveillance.
It will also review proposals for special investigation teams, security forces and professional media communication units.
Officials will conduct a technical assessment of staffing requirements and explore the recruitment of IT experts and other skilled professionals.
The committee is expected to develop a structured plan for integrating modern technology and specialised personnel into Sindh Police operations.
