Actor Emmad Irfani has reflected on the impact of the hit drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, saying it played a key role in reviving his acting career.

In a recent interview, he said the drama gave him a firsthand look at the popularity of co-star Fahad Mustafa. He recalled shooting at Karachi Central Jail, where people from all walks of life, including officials and inmates, expressed admiration for Mustafa.

“From that, I understood what stardom really means,” Irfani said, adding that Mustafa’s popularity extends far beyond Pakistan.

He described himself as an “accidental actor” who initially struggled with fear and self-doubt, saying his early experiences in the industry were challenging but helped him grow as a performer.

Irfani added that he had once believed his career was over after an unreleased film project, but Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum became a major turning point that restored his confidence and success.

He also shared that audience recognition during the drama’s popularity, including being applauded on a flight, left him both surprised and humbled.

Beyond his career journey, Irfani said he is drawn to complex roles with strong psychological depth and highlighted the importance of learning from failure in personal and professional growth.
