Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey has sparked online buzz after revealing a Trojan Horse-themed popcorn bucket as part of its promotional campaign.
The design reimagines the famous Greek mythology structure as a cinema snack container, with popcorn replacing the hidden soldiers, drawing widespread attention on social media for its creative twist.
The reveal follows strong demand for film merchandise, including a limited IMAX popcorn bucket that reportedly sold out on its first day of release.
The Odyssey, directed and written by Christopher Nolan, is based on Homer’s ancient epic poem and produced by Universal Pictures and Syncopy.
The film features an ensemble cast including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya and Charlize Theron.
Filming took place across multiple countries including Greece, Italy, Morocco, Iceland and Scotland, with extensive use of IMAX 70mm cameras.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on July 17 in IMAX and premium formats, with anticipation continuing to build ahead of its debut.
