FIFA will launch FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition on June 11, coinciding with the opening day of the 2026 World Cup. The game will be available exclusively through Netflix Games for subscribers at no additional charge.
Developed with Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive, the title offers an accessible football simulation experience. Players can select any of the 48 participating national teams and compete across all 16 World Cup stadiums.
The game features more than 1,200 players and allows users to connect smartphones to a television using a QR code. Up to four people can play together, creating a shared tournament experience from home.
FIFA said the release reflects its new gaming strategy following the end of its partnership with EA Sports. The organization plans to expand the project with additional features and support for more platforms after launch.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted by United States, Canada and Mexico, beginning on June 11.
