Prince Harry’s past controversial remarks have returned to public attention, with royal experts claiming the Duke of Sussex now deeply regrets comments he made before marrying Meghan Markle.

According to reports, royal author Tom Quinn said in a recent documentary that Harry would now be “horrified” by some aspects of his earlier life and behaviour.

Quinn stated that the prince has changed considerably over the years and would no longer use language that was once considered offensive.

The controversy relates to a 2009 incident in which Prince Harry apologised for using a racial slur toward fellow soldier Ahmed Raza Khan during his time in the British Army.

In his memoir Spare, Harry admitted he grew up hearing such language and did not fully understand its impact at the time.

He wrote that he later realised the seriousness of the remark and acknowledged the privilege and lack of awareness he had during his younger years.

Following the incident, the office of King Charles III issued a public apology to those offended by Harry’s comments.

The renewed discussion has sparked debate online, with many pointing to Harry’s personal growth and changing views since becoming more vocal about social issues and mental health.
