Actor Momina Iqbal and Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar appeared before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Thursday to record statements in an online harassment case. Both, accompanied by legal teams, spent several hours at the NCCIA Lahore office giving their accounts.

The case began after Momina Iqbal alleged prolonged online harassment, cyberbullying, and threats, including attempts to pressure her to withdraw complaints. Her public social media appeal drew widespread attention, prompting police to provide her security and comments from senior Punjab leadership, including Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Momina Iqbal stated she faced continuous threats and alleged interference from individuals linked to official circles. Her sister and lawyer, Rimsha Iqbal, said evidence supporting the allegations had been submitted and expressed confidence that justice would follow.

Saqib Chadhar’s counsel denied the claims, noting a long-standing relationship with the actress, including past marriage considerations, and said Chadhar had supported her socially and financially. The defence argued the allegations did not match the nature of their association.

Chadhar represents PP-97 (Chiniot) and joined PML-N after winning the 2024 provincial elections. NCCIA continues investigating the matter.
