Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka announced the verdict under Section 13 of the Pakistan Arms Ordinance, also imposing a fine of Rs100,000. The court ruled that failure to pay the fine would result in an additional one-month imprisonment.
With this latest ruling, Umar Hayat’s total prison sentence has increased to 23 years, while the cumulative fines now stand at Rs2.6 million.
The sentence comes a day after the same court awarded him the death penalty in the main murder case of TikToker Sana Yousaf and imposed a Rs2 million fine.
In its detailed judgment, the court also handed down multiple sentences under different charges, including 10 years imprisonment and fines under Sections 392 and 499, along with one-year imprisonment under Section 411.
Sana Yousaf, a 17-year-old social media influencer with a large online following, was killed at her residence in Islamabad on June 2, 2025. She was known for her content on TikTok, where she shared lifestyle videos and beauty-related posts.
