Jannik Sinner beat Casper Ruud 6-4, 6-4 to win the Italian Open in Rome, extending his record-breaking run with a sixth consecutive Masters 1000 title.

The world No.1 completed a rare “Golden Masters” set by winning all ATP Masters 1000 events, becoming the first Italian man in 50 years to win in Rome. He now holds a 29-match winning streak overall and a 34-match Masters streak.

Sinner broke early in both sets to control the final, while Ruud, who had never taken a set from him in previous meetings, offered resistance but couldn’t halt the top seed’s momentum.

The victory strengthens Sinner’s status heading into Roland Garros, where he will aim for his first French Open title after last year’s final defeat to Carlos Alcaraz.

Ruud praised Sinner’s rapid rise, saying the Italian is only getting better and will remain a major challenge for all rivals.

In doubles, Italians Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori also triumphed, winning the men’s title in front of a home crowd.
