LAHORE: Senior actress Bushra Ansari has strongly reacted to controversial statements made by fellow actor Firdous Jamal, saying that no one has the right to disrespect other artists.
In a vlog, Bushra Ansari expressed disappointment over Firdous Jamal’s recent comments, stating that while she respects him, such remarks about fellow performers are unnecessary and inappropriate.
She said that the entertainment industry rarely has weak performers, and making sweeping negative statements about colleagues is unjustified.
The actress also advised Firdous Jamal to be mindful of his thoughts and words, adding that negativity not only harms others but can also affect one’s personal life and family.
Her response comes after Firdous Jamal, during a podcast, made critical remarks about several late legendary actors including Talat Hussain, Shafi Muhammad, Rahat Kazmi, Khayyam Sarhadi, and Abid Ali, claiming they lacked acting ability.
His comments drew widespread backlash on social media and from members of the entertainment industry, particularly due to the fact that the actors he criticized are no longer alive.
